Hey there! I'd like to plot with you, if you don't mind :)
Are there any things you'd like to do specifically? I'm up for pretty much anything, and I'm seminal-literate to literate, depending on how the other person posts. Just be aware that I have no idea who any of those bands are from their acronyms... :-\ haha
If you need any suggestions, here are some things I'm into:

Post-apocalypse/zombie apocalypse
The 100 (watched the first season on Netflix)
Supernatural stuff (not the show... Haven't seen it as I don't have cable)
Shapeshifters
Hunger Games
Maximum Ride (first three books, though. All the others are garbage.)
Starlighter (basically humans are slaves to dragons in one world, and humans in another world are trying to free them)
Band romance (never done one, but always wanted to try my hand at it)
A twist on highschool (just same old highschool ones are boring as heck)
Percy Jackson (or some other Greek mythology-inspired story)
Runaways or fugitives

Thanks for that :) To be honest, I haven't really listened to any of them except a little bit of Sleeping with Sirens, and a couple of songs by All Time Low, but the names of the others sound familiar... Anyway, I think that rules them out...
What about The 100? Got any ideas for that one you'd like to try?

Hello there! I'm currently doing nothing, and I'm looking for a good rp to waste time on. Muse is mid-range, but it might kick up if we can come up with something good. So, without further ado, here's some stuff I'm into, and stuff I'm not into.

Stuff I'm Into

[li]Maximum Ride by James Patterson[/li]
[li]The 100 (only seen the first season via Netflix)[/li]
[li]Starlighter by Bryan Davis (this one really can't be done unless you've read the books. waaaayyy too involved to explain)[/li]
[li]Supernatural (not the show, but the genre. I've not seen the show.)[/li]
[li]Romance in anything[/li]
[li]Post-apocalypse (like The Road)[/li]
[li]Zombies (maybe something like The Last of Us, just with the characters closer in age *wiggles eyebrows*)[/li]
[li]Percy Jackson and/or Heroes of Olympus[/li]

Stuff I'm Not Into

[li]Highschool (unless you've got an interesting twist)[/li]
[li]Vampire vs. Werewolf[/li]
[li]Slave/Master creepy crap[/li]
[li]bxb or gxg. Just not my thing[/li]

Stuff About Me

[li]I'm semi-advanced to advanced (as in a paragraph or two per post. Rarely do I get three or more aside from the beginning to get things moving)[/li]
[li]I prefer playing girls, but I will play a guy if you're willing to do the same in a 2x2 sort of thing.[/li]
[li]I'm in college, and I have a part-time job, and I do eventing (a type of horseback riding) so my schedule can be a little crazy sometimes[/li]
[li]I've been rp-ing off and on for about six years[/li]

That's it! Even if you'd like to do something that's not listed above, feel free to post! I'm up for any ideas apart from the ones that I listed as "stuff I'm not into." And I don't bite; I'm a muffin, for cryin' out loud!

Astrid Lancaster

Astrid bit her lip as her eyes flicked towards the horizon, catching a quick glimpse of the sun before it slipped from the sky for the night. Her brows were furrowed in a combination of fear and concentration as her fingers drummed the steering wheel of her beat-up pickup that was trapped in a traffic jam. Never in her life had she been this afraid. Everyone had seen the news on television, the sickness that had been infecting people, sending them to their graves, only to rise up as some sort of monster. She had seen a few clips of the living dead online before the internet had gone down, and they weren't your run-of-the-mill fake trolling videos. They were very real, and it sickened her to think she might become one of them.
So she had quickly gathered up what she could cram into a backpack and gym bag in way of clothes, food, and supplies, and had chucked them all into her truck when the news began broadcasting alerts to flee the cities and get to quarantine zones. It didn't look like she was going to make it there, though, the way things were going.
A quick gasp escaped her as a figure moved past her window, and she jumped in surprise. Her nerves were so raw, anything could put her on edge. Once she saw it was just a normal person, and not a "walker," as she had heard the monsters called, she rolled down her window and called out to him, "Hey! What are you doing? It's not safe to be out here after dark!"

Abraham Finch

Abe absentmindedly turned to various radio stations, looking for any music that might happen to be playing amidst all this chaos. He sighed through his nose and turned the radio off after finding nothing but emergency government broadcasts, frantic news reporters, or simply static. He set his head back against the headrest of his seat and closed his eyes, waiting for the traffic to move. He was just a few miles outside the city, on his way to one of the government-created quarantine zones, but it looked like he was going to be stuck here for the night.
He glanced at the backseat behind him, mentally going through the supplies he had tossed into an old army-surplus backpack he'd picked up: beef jerky, couple of water bottles, change of clothes, bedroll, some canned goods, and a flashlight with extra batteries. He wished he could have brought his guitar, but that would have been pointless and a waste of energy in this situation.
As he faced forward, a pang of regret hit him. His dad had given him that guitar before he had died a few years ago. It was the last thing Abe had to remember him by, and now it was lost, probably for good. He sighed once more and gazed out the window, watching as people began to get out of their vehicles and see what was taking so long.

NICKNAME;
Ash
AGE;
Seventeen
GENDER;
Male
ANIMAL;
Black Panther
DETAILED DESCRIPTION;
Standing at a lofty height of 6'3", Ash is nothing but lean muscle and a crooked grin. His longish, dark hair flops down into his eyes, which are a curious mix of grey and green. His pupils are not human, though, and are instead black slits that cut through his iris. A light smattering of freckles appears along his jaw and throat. In addition to all of the normal body parts a human has, he now has a long black tail. He's not quite sure why it's covered in fur while the rest of him is normal, but he doesn't question it. He moves much like a cat, in a sort of stalking, deliberate way. His movements are fluid and graceful; even when he is just walking across a room, it is difficult to take your eyes off of him. It is this fluidity that makes him light on his feet, so that he barely makes a sound as he moves, allowing him to sneak right up beside you without you knowing it until you feel his breath on the back of your neck.
ANIMAL (DIS)ADVANTAGES;
Ash now has retractable claws on both his hands and feet. Much like a cat, these claws continue to grow, so he has to make sure they are kept short and sharp. Otherwise, it becomes painful to use his Wolverine-like claws. His balance has improved, as well as his flexibility. He almost always lands on his feet, but will tell you that he [i]always
lands on his feet. His eyesight has also improved tremendously, allowing him to see in near-pitch-black conditions.
PERSONALITY;
The best way to describe Asher is suave. He is a silver-tongued charmer, and he knows how to get what he wants. That's not to say he's manipulative, but he is certainly difficult to resist. He can come across as a gentleman or a total creep, depending on how you take him. Sometimes he seems cold or uncaring, but this is rarely the case; he just worries about very little, and it seems pointless to him to fret over things he has no control over.
Occasionally, he may appear unmotivated, but he is really just thinking or planning his next move (sometimes, though, he is just being lazy). When not planning, he is focused and determined on a particular goal, constantly striving to achieve it or obtain his prey. He is a risk taker, but it is always a calculated risk. This can seem like impulsive behavior, but be assured, he has considered the outcomes.
He has always been somewhat of a loner, but forms close bonds with those he cares about. If anyone tries to harm his friends, he will become violent and vindictive. Heaven forbid they actually kill them. There's no telling what he would do.
HISTORY;
Asher was born to a drug-addict of a mother who had no idea who his father was. He was seized by the state of New York when he was three, as his mother was deemed unfit to care for him, and he had no known living relatives. He was in the foster care system for most of his childhood, never living in a particular foster home for more than a year. He never had anything that he could call his own, except for a small cord bracelet his mother had given him the day the social workers had taken him away. Finally, when he was fourteen, he was sent to a group home for "troubled" foster kids, as he was constantly getting caught trying to sneak into casinos to gamble (he had a weird obsession with it at a young age) or getting into fights with other foster kids or with the kids at school.

NICKNAME;
Miles, Milo
AGE;
Sixteen
GENDER;
Female
ANIMAL;
Swift Fox
DETAILED DESCRIPTION;
Long and lean, from a distance Annalise would appear to be tall. However, she is quite the contrary. Rather short at 5'3", she is quite small, weighing in at about 90 to 95 pounds. Her proportions are rather graceful, though, almost like those of a dancer, even though she's never danced a day in her life. Her most distinguishing feature would be her keen grey eyes that seem to regard the world with sharp curiosity. They show so much about her, as her mood is usually clearly seen by others just by a simple glance at her eyes, causing her to be a nearly open book. Freckles lightly sprinkle across her straight nose that dips down to her soft mouth, which can usually be seen being nibbled on in concentration. When not in a serious mood, though, her smile comes easily and is rather contagious. Her long, dark hair has a touch of auburn in it, and it comes just past the bottom of her shoulder blades. She usually keeps it tied back out of her way, though. In all, she is an exquisite girl with grace and beauty that she is curiously unaware of.
ANIMAL (DIS)ADVANTAGES;
All of Astrid's senses were increased dramatically through the introduction of fox DNA. Her senses of hearing and sight especially increased. However, she is currently unable to control how much sensory input her mind can handle, so she is often overloaded with a barrage of sights, sounds, and smells, causing her to have almost autistic traits where she withdraws from the world into her mind's "safe place" where she hums softly to block out sound and just ignores everything. When the scientists give her a set of noise-canceling headphones and dark sunglasses, she is able to function normally, as these help to block out enough sensory input for her to see and hear on just-above-normal levels.
PERSONALITY;
Astrid is on the quiet side. She's a goody-two-shoes that is afraid of getting into trouble; the worst thing she's done is stay up a little later than her foster parents allowed so that she could study, or read a book, or browse tumblr or imgur.
She's an uptight, nervous individual and constantly feels like she's walking on eggshells, trying to avoid offending anyone or getting into a confrontation. She is an introvert, and prefers keeping to herself because interacting with people is so exhausting. She is very much a perfectionist, and hates letting people down or not measuring up to her own expectations for herself. Despite her flaws, she is a very level-headed individual, and rarely acts on impulse. She thinks everything through to an almost nauseating degree, and never takes people solely on their word. She is smart and cunning, able to solve problems in unconventional ways. But if you can convince her to relax, she is easy to be around. She's got a affinity for puns, and considers them the funniest thing in the world.
HISTORY;
Astrid was the product of an unexpected teen pregnancy. Her mother, who was a mere sixteen years of age when she had Astrid, was not able to keep the infant for a multitude of reasons that were never made known to Astrid. So she has been a part of the Arizona foster care system for all of her life. She was lucky enough to stay at a decent foster home for the majority of her younger years, and they even considered adopting her. But they fell on hard times and were unable to financially support her, so she was moved to another foster home. This one was less homey than the last, and her foster father was verbally abusive. He constantly tore her down, reducing her self-esteem to virtually nothing. It was in this environment that she lived until she was fifteen, when the truth was made known to civil workers, and she was transferred to another foster home that was more reputable.

Hello there! I have come into quite a bit of free time due to my college studies being over for the summer, and I'm looking for a couple of good prp partners.

What I can offer:
--Substantial posts (Quality, as opposed to quantity)
--Daily Activity (Usually. Sometimes I'm competing at horse shows on weekends.)
--Flexibility
--Creativity
--Male and female characters (Though I personally prefer females, I'm not opposed to playing males.)
--Openness to a wide variety of genres
--Maturity

What I expect:
--Substantial posts (Again, quality over quantity. If you can get the point across in five sentences instead of five paragraphs, go for it. But if you're feeling wordy, then write as much as you like. However, I absolutely DETEST one- or two-liners. They give me little to nothing to work with.)
--Activity at least every other day
--Creativity
--Maturity
--Plot ideas (Not required, but if you have a general idea of something you'd like to do or a direction you'd like to head in, let me know!)

Some of the genres I like:

[li]Romance (I never carry it to black out, as I prefer to keep it just shy of this. If clothes come off and things get steamy, it's gone too far.)[/li]
[li]Sci-fi (like mutants or genetic experiments escaping from a lab)[/li]
[li]Fantasy (elves, dragons, Faes, the like)[/li]
[li]Vampires (not Twilight. Basically vampires have enslaved the human race. Humans are bought and sold as slaves to serve whatever purpose their masters have for them.)[/li]
[li]Shapeshifters[/li]
[li]Medieval[/li]
[li]Highschool (but only if there is a good romance plot involved)[/li]
[li]Runaways or Fugitives[/li]
[li]Apocalypse (zombie or otherwise. Specifically "The Last of Us", "The Road", or "The Walking Dead")[/li]
[li]Greek/Roman mythology (Percy Jackson-esque with a twist)[/li]
[li]A lot of others I can't think of at the moment[/li]

Genres I Don't Like or Can't Do:
--Harry Potter (it's not that I don't like it, just haven't read the books)
--Hunger Games (I love this series, but unless you can give me enough of a difference or twist from the original, then I'm just not going to do it)
--Vampires vs. Werewolves
--Animal-only plots (I /might/ make an exception, but it's very unlikely)
--BxB or FxF (just not my thing)

I don't really have any particular plots in mind, but I'm mostly looking for a romance or apocalypse to do (or a combination of the two). Also, if you've seen the movie Penelope with Christina Ricci and James McAvoy, I'd like to do something similar to that, but I'm not quite sure how... However, I'm up for anything that I listed above or anything you might have in mind. If you're interested, let me know!

Cool! I'll go ahead and post now, but do you need me to make a form or anything?

I sit on the bench in the park, my feet just barely scraping the smooth flagstone path beneath it as I swing my feet back and forth, listlessly watching people go by that can't see me, and making faces at the dogs and few children that can. The dogs usually just give me a sniff and continue, others bark at what their owners see as an empty space. The children point at me and ask their distracted mothers "Why is the sad girl watching me?" to which their only response is a mere murmur of acknowledgement or a pat on the head. Eventually, they will no longer see me as they grow older and less attuned to the world around them. However, there are one or two that hold tight to their "imaginary friends," and are able to see me longer than most others. But they, too, will one day let go of their ability to see me and my ghostly companions that still linger here in the mortal world, unable to pass into the next for whatever reason.

Only one person remains that can see me. Jake. My face contorts into an expression of annoyance as I spy him strolling along the path, a few apparitions attempting to speak with him. Of course, they know how ridiculous it is. The living that can see us never talk to us outright, and rightfully so. They'd be put away in an insane asylum for paranoid schizophrenia if they did it enough. I look away from him, trying to hide my face as my feet stop swinging and I hold them in place, straining to keep my toes on the ground. While I was still living, I was short, so it only serves to reason I'd be short in the afterlife as well, I think to myself dryly.

I can try :3 I'm not very good at dominate-type characters, so she might end up being like reluctant about having a slave, and only has one because her father got one for her simply because it's customary or something. But she's kind of a jerk to him, but not like abusive or anything. Is that okay?

I'm thinking in the 18-21 year range? I think I'll make my character 18 (in vampire years, if that's a thing haha)
And you can make a bio if you want, but for private rp's, I'm more of a jump-right-in sort of person and just mold the characters as I go. But if you'd rather do bios, we can do that. I don't mind :)

OOC

Okay :)
Her name is Quinn and she died a few years ago at the age of 18 from a driveby shooting on her way home from school.

I risk a glance to my left as the young man continues to walk towards me. The young boy Easton that likes to hang around the park and play with the few children that can see him is waving at Jake as though they had been talking. My expression softens a fraction; the poor boy needs all the attention he can get. But as my eyes flickered to meet Jake's, I quickly turned my face away and crossed my arms over my chest. Why he felt he needed to get me to like him was beyond me. But I also couldn't quite put my finger on why I didn't like him to begin with. Whatever the reason, it was never enough to make me just get up and walk away, but was enough for me to simply not respond to anything he said or asked.
